Event Description:
The Music Institute of Chicago presents its free 24th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Celebration Concert on Sunday, January 17, 2027 at 3 p.m. at Nichols Concert Hall, 1490 Chicago Avenue, Evanston.
The afternoon features performances by Music Institute faculty and students from across musical styles, guest speakers, interpretations and performances of MLK’s words, locally curated visual art, and collaboration with local schools. The Music Institute is also co-commissioning a work from Hearing in Color’s Young Composer Residency program. A detailed program will be announced shortly.
