Name: BUILDING RESILIENCE DURING TIMES OF ADVERSITY & CHANGE
Date: January 25, 2019
Time: 10:15 AM - 11:45 AM CST
Event Description:
Presented by: Suzanne Coonan, Executive & Career Coach, Aerial Leadership Inc.
Resilience is defined as the ability to bounce back quickly from difficulties. In today’s fast paced and challenging environment, we are asked to do more and more with less and less and people are feeling overwhelmed, burnt out and stressed out. We are faced with complex, ambiguous and rapidly changing events at both work and home that seem to be increasing in scope and frequency.  How do we deal with these challenges and stay grounded and centered while still being able to perform at work and be present for our families?  The key to navigating this new reality is to build resistance.  Once understood, resilience is something that can be developed and built to help cope with the many challenges we are faced with, both big and small.  In this session you will learn:
  • What resilience is and why it is so important in today’s complex and rapidly changing environment
  • The 3 characteristics of resilience
  • Strategies for managing and navigating change
  • How to build resilience in self and others
“More than education, more than experience, more than training, a person’s level of resilience will determine who succeeds and who fails.  That’s true in the cancer ward, it’s true in the Olympics, and it’s true in the boardroom.” – Dean Becker, CEO Adaptiv Learning
