Join us to view our West Side Stories: History West Lake Forest exhibit before it closes at the end of February. This museum exhibition, West Side Stories, explores Lake Forest’s western regions, beyond the Skokie Highway. Early homesteaders blazed trails and created the vibrant farming community of Everett, whose neighborhoods, schools and businesses have formed an essential part of the Lake Forest whole since 1926.
The Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Historical Society is a nonprofit organization with over 500 members and a history museum in downtown Lake Forest. For over 40 years, they have collected and preserved the history of our area. With a robust collection dating back to 1860, the Historical Society is the place to research and discover the people, places and events from our past. Their award-winning exhibitions, publications and programs offer a chance for people of all ages to remember and celebrate the heritage of our community.
