At this Workshop, we will provide a straightforward introduction as to how cryptocurrency transactions and exchanges work, setting the stage for understanding common fraud schemes.

 

We will then discuss how courts and regulators identify badges of fraud in digital asset cases, with particular attention to arbitrage strategies that are often misused. We will highlight current regulatory and enforcement trends, including insights from a current ongoing case, the Trader's Domain Litigation in the Southern District of Florida.

Meet Your Speaker ~ Kaitlyn M Coker

The Facilitator for this Event is Kaitlyn Coker, who is a Partner at Farmer & Coker, PLLC, where she represents clients in high-stakes commercial disputes with a particular focus on cryptocurrency and securities fraud.

 

Kaitlyn is licensed in Texas and admitted to all four federal district courts in the state. Kaitlyn has litigated complex cases involving business fraud, breaches of fiduciary duty, and disputes in the digital asset space.

 

Along with her husband and law partner Kyle, she owns and operates Farmer & Coker, PLLC, as well as a separate entrepreneurial venture, giving her firsthand insight into the challenges and opportunities business owners face. She combines legal expertise with the perspective of an entrepreneur to deliver practical, strategic solutions for her Clients.
