Program Overview:
This webinar presentation will cover some of the core facts about the cybercrime landscape, including the nature of current computer crime activity, the basic technologies used to commit cybercrime, and the workings of the underground cybercrime marketplace.
 
In addition, this presentation will provide some basic tools and techniques to mitigate the risk of cybercrime exposure.
 
A question and answer session will be held following the presentation. 
 
Presenter: Shoba Pillay, Partner, Jenner & Block, LLP
 
Shoba Pillay is a Partner at Jenner & Block, LLP, Chicago, where she provides advice and counsel to her clients involved in white collar investigations, cybersecurity, national security, and export control and sanctions.
She joined the firm after over 11 years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois, where she investigated and prosecuted matters involving cybercrime, terrorism, espionage, theft of trade secrets, illegal export of defense articles, narcotics and firearms trafficking, complex fraud, child exploitation, and human trafficking.

Shoba is also an adjunct professor at Northwestern University School of Law, where she teaches a trial advocacy course; and at the University of Illinois College of Law, where she teaches a course on cybersecurity and the legal system.
