Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel (1805-1847) – Piano Trio in D Minor, Op. 11 (26')

Jean-Michel Damase (1928-2013) – Trio for Flute, Oboe, & Piano (20')

Astor Piazzolla (1921-1992) – Histoire du Tango for Flute & Harp (mvts. 1-3, 18')

Piazzolla presents us a musical evolution of the tango in four evocative movements. Writing music that would give pleasure to an audience on first hearing was Damase's main compositional aim. Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel's Piano Trio is decidedly music written by a master pianist.
