Event Description:
One of the silver linings to emerge from COVID is the discovery of live music on the grounds at Gorton. Our bespoke music venue provides casual classics and pops performed by members of the LFCO for the enjoyment of community members young and old. Bring your lawn chairs and picnic supplies and enjoy a fun evening without leaving your own zip code! In the event of rain, the concert will be held indoors in the John & Nancy Hughes Theater.

Our program, Classic Classics: Opera Favorites, includes the following works:

  • Rossini: Overture to the Barber of Seville
  • Mascagni: Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana
  • Bizet: L’Arlesienne Suite No. 1
  • Offenbach: Overture to Orpheus in the Underworld
  • Wagner: Prelude to Act III of Lohengrin
  • Carmen: Suite No. 1
