Our Opening Gala Concert will be performed on Saturday, September 7 (8 PM) and Sunday, September 8 (2 PM) and will introduce Vladimir Kuleovic, the first of our Music Director Candidates. Vladimir did his post-graduate studies in conducting at Julliard and is currently the Associate Conductor of the Utah Symphony and Opera, Principal Conductor of the Kyoto International Music Festival and Resident Conductor of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra. He will lead the Lake Forest Symphony, the only fully professional orchestra in Lake County, playing the following pieces:
Tchaikovsky: Romeo and Juliet Overture
Gershwin: Rhapsody in Blue with guest artist, Ralph Votapek, piano
Fauré: Pelléas et Mélisande
Stravinsky: Firebird Suite
