Teams of Lake Forest High School students – from the school’s Business Incubator course - will pitch their business plans in a “shark tank” style format to a Board of Directors and private investors in hopes of attaining funding to launch their business. The event is open to the public. The Pitch Night presentations are the culmination of a year-long honors business entrepreneurship class, which was offered for the third time this year. The course is designed to get students excited about becoming true entrepreneurs by giving them the opportunity to create and fully develop their own product or service. Student teams work closely with real-life entrepreneurs and business experts from the community who serve as coaches and mentors. The Lake Forest High School Foundation is committed to funding up to $10,000 to at least one worthy business group.
