With the turn of the calendar brings the turn of the season … For the third year, the Kiwanis Club of Lake Bluff & Lake Forest is gearing up for this year’s Pond Hockey Tournament. A 4-on-4 Pond Hockey Tournament will be held on Super Bowl Saturday, February 12th at Artesian Park, Lake Bluff. The ice-skating rink will be transformed into 3 smaller hockey rinks allowing 3 games to be played simultaneously. The day’s activities begin at 9am, playing until 4ish. Kiwanis expects 8 teams to compete for the coveted “Golden Shovel” award. So, mark your calendars, dress warmly, grab a chair, bring some friends and a fire-pit (wood will be provided) while you cheer on the players. Kiwanis members will be serving a hot dog lunch from 11am to 1pm. Hot chocolate served throughout the day. Alternate location will be Hot Shot Ice Arena on Highway 41 in Lake Bluff.
