Event Description:
Ragdale, the artists’ residency in Lake Forest, presents Silk Road Quartet as part of the Ragdale Ring Performance Series on Thursday, July 13 at 7pm. Take an enchanting musical journey through story and song as musicians weave together past and present, east and west along the Silk Road. Performers include multi-instrumentalist and actor Ronnie Malley, flutist Jennie Oh-Brown, and musicians Carlo Basile, and Bob Garrett. The Silk Road Quartet performance takes place in the Ragdale Ring, the open-air performance venue, whose “Living Picture” design by T+E+A+M recently won the Adrian Smith Prize in an international competition for outstanding, young architects. Guests are encouraged to bring their family, a lawn chair, or picnic for an arts-filled outdoor performance. The program is curated by Jamil Khoury and Malik Gillani of Silk Road Rising, the Chicago-based producers of live theater known for presenting Asian American and Middle Eastern American stories and traditions.
Location:
Ragdale is located at 1230 N. Green Bay Road in Lake Forest. Off-site parking and free shuttle service are available at the municipal lot northwest of Deerpath Road and Oakwood Drive in downtown Lake Forest.

Admission is $20/person; $15 students and seniors, 12 and under free. Tickets are available through the website at ragdale.org and also at the door.
