da Corneto Opera will present Rossini’s comic masterpiece, the ever-popular and entertaining Barber of Seville fully-staged with orchestra and English supertitles on September 23rd  at 7:30pm and the 25th at 4pm at Gorton Center in Lake Forest.

The opera stars the world’s best-known barber, the incorrigible Figaro, a character made popular to many by none other than Bugs Bunny! For years audiences have been laughing as Figaro, a barber and jack-of-all-trades, outwits the aged and wealthy Dr. Bartolo, foiling his plans to wed his young ward, Rosina, and paving the way for her to marry a poor student who just happens to be  a wealthy nobleman in disguise.

 Cast: Noah Gartner, Paula Mrazek, Russell Hoke, Humberto Borboa Beltran, Alvaro Ramirez, Jennifer Kubik, with the da Corneto Opera Orchestra & Men's Chorus. Robert Ashens, Conductor.
