Date: January 31, 2018
Time: 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM CST
Event Description:
First time in over 150 years! Join us for this rare celestial event at Forest Park Beach as we experience a blue moon, supermoon, and total lunar eclipse all in one! Although the eclipse will happen in the predawn hours, the moon viewing should be spectacular! Bundle up and enjoy hot chocolate and s'mores around the warmth of the fire as we watch the moon rise around 5:30 pm. Parking at Lake Forest Beach is limited. There are approx. 100 spots in the North Lot (including 4 handicap) and approx. 150 spots (including 5 handicap) in the Lower South Lot. Parking is also available at the East Lake Forest Metra Station. Lake Forest Beach is located at the corner of E. Deerpath and Lake Road, approx. 1.3 miles and about a 30 min. walk from the train station, so please plan accordingly. Questions? Contact John Eldridge at 847.810.3940
