Woodlands Academy presents ‘Little Women’

The Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart Theatre Department will present its fall play, "Little Women," three times in the school’s Susan Saint James Performing Arts Center. Curtain time is 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23, Friday, Oct. 24, and Saturday, Oct. 25. Woodlands’ production is based on the novel “Little Women” written by Louisa May Alcott. This cherished tale of family, resilience and the unbreakable bonds of sisterhood takes place during the American Civil War. Its coming-of-age theme focuses on the four March sisters who find themselves and their mother suddenly left to their own devices when their father is deployed to serve in the war. Woodlands Academy is an all-girls college-preparatory day-and-boarding high school located at 760 E. Westleigh Road in Lake Forest, IL 60045. Tickets for its fall play are $15 at the door but can be purchased for $10 in advance (up to noon the day of each performance) online at woodlandsacademy.org/little women.
