Soft skills, such as communication, decision-making and problem-solving, and the ability to work as part of a team are critical 21st Century job skills that employers look for.
• Do you know the difference between an interest and an option?
• Do you know how to make decisions and negotiate solutions so that everyone “wins”?
• Do you get “stuck” when making decisions?
• Can you identify your interests and those of your potential employer or colleague to generate options for solving problems and getting the job?

If you answered “No” or I’m not sure” to any of the questions above, join Laura, and give yourself a competitive advantage by leaning more about interest-based problem solving.
Laura is a retired Professor of Management and Business at Oakton Community College. She has extensive experience with interest-based problem solving and negotiations.
