This webinar reviews the various forms of business organizations and their characteristics with an eye toward analyzing what types of businesses and how the goals of the founders may dictate which form of organization to undertake.

 

The workshop is designed for those who are considering beginning a business, who are in the earliest stages of forming a business, or who are thinking of changing their business form.

Meet Your Speaker ~ Fran Zollers

Fran is a Professor Emerita of Law & Public Policy in the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University. She has also taught as a visiting professor at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, the Kelly School of Business and at Indiana University, and was a visiting scholar at the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

 

 Her teaching areas include intellectual property, technology law, entrepreneurship law, and business organizations. Her teaching responsibilities have been directed at the undergraduate level, graduate level and executive groups. Educational credentials include a BA cum laude from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana and a JD with honors from the Syracuse University College of Law.

 

Fran has been a member of Fox Valley SCORE since 2013 and is a certified Master Mentor. With SCORE she mentors clients, presents workshops, and currently chairs the Training Committee.
