HVAC Technical Support Advisor
Express Employment Professionals of Libertyville is seeking a HVAC Technical Support Advisor candidate for their client located in the Libertyville area. Our client is a small-mid sized manufacturing and distribution company who have been in business for 70 years!
 
Job Highlights:

• Direct Hire
• Pay: $40-50/hr, based on experience

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide expert technical support and guidance to customers on mechanical and HVAC systems related to the manufacturers we represent.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment and system issues via phone or on-site visits.
• Assist commercial and industrial contractors with repairs, maintenance, and installations when necessary.
• Offer technical support for parts identification, pricing, and other inquiries.
• Interpret schematics and technical drawings to help with troubleshooting and repair processes.
• Collaborate with sales teams, service departments, and engineering teams from multiple manufacturers to develop solutions for complex technical problems.
• Conduct field service visits, including inspections, startup supervision, commissioning, and owner training at customer sites.
• Create and maintain reports and systems to track technical support calls and field service visits.
• Assist in the design and construction of new systems or modifications to existing systems.

 
Qualifications:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for working with contractors, engineers, distributors, and manufacturers.
• In-depth mechanical knowledge and expertise in HVAC systems.
• Proficient in using apps and computer software.
• Willingness and ability to travel for training at manufacturer facilities and job sites for multiple days if needed.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience with commercial DDC controls and common testing equipment, including multimeters, refrigerant gauges, manometers, and combustion analyzers.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics, building plans, and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a commitment to customer service.
• Comfortable working on job sites, including rooftops, basements, and confined mechanical rooms, and capable of using ladders or lifts.
